eBay Canada partnered with Shippo to offer their “ship-from-home” business owners a better, full-featured shipping platform, replacing their partnership with PayPal Shipping.
Canada was the first of many global eBay-Shippo partnerships. Its success was vital to expanding our relationship with them.
To support product design and launch efforts, I researched eBay’s existing seller experience, community forums, alternative shipping platforms, and interviewed eBay sellers to understand the problems small businesses were running into when shipping.
With this knowledge, together with a product designer, we developed prototypes of the eBay-Shippo experience to share with eBay sellers to gain feedback. This research also helped us tailor our messaging at launch.
Over 3 months, migrate the same amount of sellers who are currently using eBay’s PayPal solution, over to using Shippo.
